Sound Ideas: Activities for the Percussion Circle

This book is based on Dr. Howard Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences and his book Frames of Mind: The Theory of Multiple Intelligences. Descriptions of each intelligence are given at the beginning of each section. The activities are offered as ideas for group composition and improvisation that are concrete, understandable, tangible, and tactile. The games offer tangible evidence of ways in which intelligences are both separate and interconnected - useful for teachers in any field. Each activity offers suggestions for classroom applications. There are also "music extensions" with suggested listening examples and reflective activities.
