Standard of Excellence (SOE) is one of the most complete and most widely used band methods available. It combines music theory, music history, ear training, and multi-cultural studies with a strong performance-centered approach to learning. Each student book features colorful highlighted sections when a new fingering, rhythm, or musical concept is introduced, making these new skills visually stimulating. The student books also include:
