Viva Marimba

"Viva Marimba " is a festive collection of marimba arrangements of popular traditional tunes from Spain, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, and Bolivia. Perfect for grades 4 – 8, most of the songs are arranged in theme and variation form. Variations include solo sections, percussion breaks, and newly-composed secondary melodies. Although best suited for diatonic marimbas and/or Orff instruments, F# or Bb bars may be needed. In most cases, accidentals have been purposefully avoided and/or substitute notes provided. Chords are provided for additional accompaniment choices. Performance tracks and reproducible lead sheets for each piece are available on the included CD.
