The P515’s Enhanced VRM (Virtual Resonance Modeling) models the state of the strings for each of the 88 keys while the damper pedals are pressed to recreate what you hear on an acoustic piano. VRM also uses aliquot resonance when you play the upper octaves. This creates a bright and lively sound that expresses the piano experience. 

Aliquot is a method that uses untouched strings to enhance the tone of the upper octaves. These strings will vibrate with the other strings in use and combine with the overtones adding an abundance of complexity to the sound. Without a damper the sound continues to reverberate even after your hands have left the keys.
